Issues fixed

Startup crash

Start the game in safe mode[1]
  1. Launch the game with the /SafeMode command line argument
  2. Set the desired graphics options in-game
  3. Exit the game
  4. Remove the /SafeMode command line argument

Notes

/SafeMode appears to ignore the graphics options in your configuration file. However, changes you make while running in safe mode are saved. Remove /SafeMode to use the saved graphics options.
Remove configuration file[2]
  1. Backup and delete %LOCALAPPDATA%\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander 2\Game.prefs

Notes

Appears to be caused by having an invalid screen resolution.
