PUBG LITE is an online multiplayer Battle royale and first-person shooter game developed and published by PUBG Corporation . It is adapted from the original PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds using the same Unreal Engine 4 . It allows players to experience the original PlayerUnkown's Battlegrounds for free even with low spec PC's that are incapable to run the Original game.

PUBG LITE which was also originally given name as Project Thai Was released on January 24, 2019, as a Closed Beta only in Thailand. After a few weeks, the game was made available in Nine south-east countries with more coming in the future. The game started with two of PUBG's Classic Maps: Erangel and Miramar. Much more content was released later on with regular Updated every two weeks.

As of June 2020, the game is in an Open Beta state and is available in over a hundred different countries along with all four the classic PUBG Maps. The game received its last Update on April 16, 2020.

Updates

The Game was regularly updated since its closed beta release in 24-1-2019 till 16-4-2020 when the game received its last official update. Today the game is available to play for free but is not being regularly updated except for the addition of new Item-Crates.[2]
The game is in a terrible state as most of the player base is being reduced as there is a noticeable increase in the number of hackers and cheaters as the out-dated anti-cheat system of the game is unable to remove players using newer Hacks hence making the game unplayable.
Official Support for the game ended on 16-4-2020 as stated in the Dev-letter.[3]
