(Removing the note about the retail version compatibility. This is likely an extrapolation from the notice prompt on the Steam page that the game is not compatible that is not true anymore, but even when the game was broken on Steam, it was only broken due to Steam DRM conflicting with Razor1911 no-CD used with the game. This is similar to Manhunt, as you can see here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfDg7BidsY4&t=2755s Existing Vista patch also locates the game on Steam and doesn't mention retail) |

Issues fixed
"Failed to connect to GameSpy server" error
- The GameSpy master server has been shut down. Use OpenSpy as an alternative.
- Note that recently openspy.org stopped working, so you'll need to replace .org with .net or use the updated .exe linked here.
Random crashes to desktop on Windows 7 and later
- Game relies on DirectShow for FMV playback, which in itself relies on the DirectDraw API which has been pretty much broken since Windows 7.
- A DirectDraw wrapper like dgVoodoo2 or DDrawCompat is required on modern systems.
