'''Notes'''
+
===Falling through the floor or walls of the game map===
{{ii}} {{file|dgVoodooSetup.exe}} can be used to change various settings (e.g. disabling the watermark).
+
{{ii}} This often occurs after changing seats with other drivers many times in a short period.
 +
{{Fixbox|description=Change seats again or call 911|ref={{cn|November 2022}}|fix=

}}

}}

===Weird in-game physics for example the cars get stuck in one another upon collision===
+
===Rivals disappear after changing seats===
 +
{{--}} This makes it arriving at the destination first impossible. No known fix.

Largely improved if the resolution is set to 1600x1200 (assuming it is supported). On resolutions of 1024x768 or less, colliding with cars and objects is so dangerous, you'd want to stay away from them
+
===No more remaining drivers to hire after majority market share===
 +
{{ii}} A workaround is to initiate a trucking race, finish it in any position and the remaining unemployed truckers (assuming they participated in the race) may be for hire after the race. This workaround is not guaranteed to work.

== Known in-game bugs ==
+
===Employees engage in any race after majority market share===
 +
{{ii}} May be triggered by starting the race directly or by changing seats.
 +
{{--}} While often considered an in-game mechanic, this is very likely a memory leak. No known workaround.

Prob: Accidentally escaped the map into the void!
+
==Issues fixed==
Soln: Often occurs after having changed seats with the other drivers too many times in the short period. Change seats again or call 911. Pick solution carefully, because of other problems below
+
==="Your computer does not have graphic accelerator" error on launch===

+
{{image|Ht2 accelerator error.PNG|No Accelerator Error}}
Prob: After changing seats (and possibly changing back) during the trucking mission, some of the rivals disappear, making impossible to arrive to the destination first
+
{{Fixbox|description=Use dgVoodoo2|ref=<ref>{{Refcheck|user=evokethunder|date=2019-03-24}}</ref>|fix=
Soln: No known workaround. Treat the bug as a penalty for changing seats
+
# Download [[dgVoodoo 2]].

+
# Extract {{file|dgVoodooCpl.exe}} and the contents of the {{folder|MS\x86}} folder into {{folder|{{p|game}}}}.
Prob: After having conquered the vast majority of the in-game market shares (around 95%), it's no longer possible to find the remaining drivers for a hire
+
# If the game does not start, set {{file|htruck2.exe}} to run in the Windows XP (Service Pack 3) [[Windows Compatibility Mode|compatibility mode]].
Soln: The workaround is to initiate a trucking race, finish it (either first or otherwise) and hope the remaining unemployed truckers (assuming they participated in the race) will decide to want to be hired soon thereafter
+
}}

+
===Rendering issues===
Prob: After having conquered the major stake of the in-game market shares, you often witness your employees engaging into any race you initiate (either directly or by changing seats)
+
{{Fixbox|description=Use D2GI|fix=
Soln: While vastly considered an in-game mechanic, this is very likely being a memory leak. No known workaround, but you may often use that problem to generate very quick money effectively. Find an employed driver finishing their race and carrying something costly; then change seats and hope the other employees with get bound to participate in the race. Every one of them then will produce quick revenue as they finish their races. Moreover, once you finish your race, you can change seats with one of employed-by-you former competitors, causing even more truckers to get engaged and so on.
+
{{ii}} This fix requires game with version 8.1.

+
{{++}} Fixes most bugs and is more stable than dgVodoo2 or GOG <code>d3d8.dll</code> wrapper.
Prob: Cops only remember the vehicle to have committed crimes (if any), but not the drivers
+
{{++}} Adds widescreen support.
Soln: Heh, just abuse that
+
{{--}} Game has performance issues when in-game map is opened.

+
# Download the latest version of [https://github.com/REDPOWAR/D2GI/releases D2GI]
Prob: If you drive a stolen vehicle and are doing trucking, the cops figure out you drive an illegal vehicle only after you put off your load
+
# Extract the contents of the archive into the installation folder.
Soln: No soln, a very weird and funny in-game bug
+
# Optionally, edit <code>d2gi.ini</code> to set custom resolution, toggle VSync and set window mode. See the [https://github.com/REDPOWAR/D2GI/blob/master/README-EN.md#settings README] for details.

Issues unresolved

Vehicle models stuck together after collision

Reducing chance of issue occurring[citation needed]
  • Change resolution to 1600x1200 (Russian version) or 1280x960 (English version) if supported.
  • If resolutions of 1024x768 or lower are the only option, avoid colliding with cars and objects to avoid experiencing game breaking physics.

Falling through the floor or walls of the game map

This often occurs after changing seats with other drivers many times in a short period.
Change seats again or call 911[citation needed]

Rivals disappear after changing seats

This makes it arriving at the destination first impossible. No known fix.

No more remaining drivers to hire after majority market share

A workaround is to initiate a trucking race, finish it in any position and the remaining unemployed truckers (assuming they participated in the race) may be for hire after the race. This workaround is not guaranteed to work.

Employees engage in any race after majority market share

May be triggered by starting the race directly or by changing seats.
While often considered an in-game mechanic, this is very likely a memory leak. No known workaround.

Issues fixed

"Your computer does not have graphic accelerator" error on launch

No Accelerator Error
No Accelerator Error
Use dgVoodoo2[2]
  1. Download dgVoodoo 2.
  2. Extract dgVoodooCpl.exe and the contents of the MS\x86 folder into <path-to-game>.
  3. If the game does not start, set htruck2.exe to run in the Windows XP (Service Pack 3) compatibility mode.

Rendering issues

Use D2GI
This fix requires game with version 8.1.
Fixes most bugs and is more stable than dgVodoo2 or GOG d3d8.dll wrapper.
Adds widescreen support.
Game has performance issues when in-game map is opened.
  1. Download the latest version of D2GI
  2. Extract the contents of the archive into the installation folder.
  3. Optionally, edit d2gi.ini to set custom resolution, toggle VSync and set window mode. See the README for details.
