ProjectX
- Community port of Forsaken, runs on cross-platform technologies and currently officially supports Windows, Linux, and OS X.
Install and play on modern systems
- Go to the disc and set Windows 95 compatibility mode for
autorun.exe
andsetup.exe
. - Install the game normally.
- Install the 1.01 patch (see above)
- Download Forsaken Legacy Patch
- Delete the Opt folder in your Forsaken installation (all these drivers will be replaced)
- Copy the contents of the legacy patch's Forsaken Folder to your existing installation
- Run LAUNCH.BAT
- In case of playback issues with the intro cutscene, refer to the legacy patch's INSTRUCTIONS.TXT.
- If you don't mind not having any music, using ProjectX as the engine requires a much simpler installation.
