Installing on 64-bit versions of Windows

Manual installation[citation needed]
  1. Create a folder named FIFA RTWC 98 somewhere on the hard drive.
  2. From the root folder of the game's disc, copy files eacsnd.dll, fifa98.ico and fifartwc.exe to the FIFA RTWC 98 folder on the hard drive.
  3. Copy folders AUDIO, COMM, COMMON, FEPACK and INGAME to the FIFA RTWC 98 folder on the hard drive.
  4. Download the installation package for FIFA: Road to World Cup 98 and extract it.
  5. Go to the folder containing newly extracted files and double-click on key.reg to add it to Windows registry.
  6. Go to the Compatibility entries folder and run PatchInstall.bat to add entries to compatibility database.
  7. Navigate back to the folder where key.reg was and open the CD reference folder.
  8. From the folder that corresponds to the letter used by the CD drive in which the game disc is located, copy INSTALL.DAT file to the FIFA RTWC 98 folder.
  9. Launch the game.
