===Windows 7: crash after starting new game===

{{Cleanup|section|Game does not officially support Windows 7 + this fix is applicable to every game that doesn't support Windows 7, so probably too genertic + the fix still has significant issues + very rarely do people still use Windows 7 = proposal for removal of this section.}}

{{ii}} By default the game does not support Windows 7 and will crash to a black screen when attempting to start a new game. If you try, you may receive an error such as ''The program can't start because api-ms-win-downlevel-kernel32-l2-1-0.dll is missing from your computer.''

# Download a DXVK release archive (tested with [https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases/tag/v1.9.1 version 1.9.1]).

# Extract the archive's .dll files to {{folder|{{p|game}}\ZingangGame\Binaries\Win64\}}.

# Run the game's executable file using a {{code|-d3d9}} or {{code|-d3d11}} parameter:

## Create a shortcut to {{file|{{p|game}}\ZingangGame\Binaries\Win64\ZingangGame-Win64-Shipping.exe}}.

## Modify the shortcut file and add {{code|-d3d11}} to the end of the target path.

## For example: {{code|{{p|game}}\ZingangGame\Binaries\Win64\ZingangGame-Win64-Shipping.exe -d3d11}}

# You may still see the .dll error but the game should launch and run. (The missing DLL error can be fixed by copying the file from {{folder|C:\WINDOWS\System32\CompatTel\}} to the game's Win64 folder.)

Issues unresolved

Stuttering, frame drops, or poor performance

Many people experience stuttering for at least a short time while playing the game.[5][6]

This may be related to the game's engine (Unreal Engine 4) loading game assets on-the-fly.[7][8]

Installing and running the game on a fast-access hard disk such as an SSD may lessen the issue. Stuttering should decrease after playing the game for a short time as more assets are loaded into your computer's memory.

    Downloaded and checked the Versioning.txt file on both the Steam and the EGS copies. The EGS copy uses v1.200.001 dated 2021-12-15, while the Steam copy uses v1.200.002 (the "DLSS3" update according to the file) dated 2022-11-04.
  3. Verified by User:Aemony on 2023-02-23
    Verified by downloading and testing both the Steam copy and the EGS copy. Both versions uses DLSS v2.3.1 although DLSS Frame Generation is only included in the Steam version which is of a newer version of the game.
