Corpse Party: Blood Covered[Note 1] is a singleplayer top-down view adventure and survival horror game developed and published by Team GrisGris. It is a part of the Corpse Party series.
It was the remake version of the PC-98 version Corpse Party which was released in 1996 via LOGIN Sofcom magazine CD for free. This remake version uses their own in-house developed game engine known as GrisGrisEngine and added additional story and characters into the game. The game was first released for DoCoMo smartphone series under the name of Corpse Party: New Chapter[Note 2] where it only released until Chapter 4 as the development has shifted to focus only on PC version.
The game was later shifted to PC and released the game on 8 March, 2008 which included Chapter 1 and 2. The first expansion bundle of the game which known as Corpse Party: Blood Covered 3 in which includes Chapter 1 to 3 was release on 17 August, 2008.
