"Cannot locate the CD-ROM" error after patching the game
After patching the game to the latest official version (v1.13), the game cannot detect the disc, even if it's in the drive. The only "solution" is to use a No-CD patch.
Due to the legality of the patch, PCGamingWiki cannot directly link to any downloads of it.
Game crashes at the end of graphics calibration

Running game on modern 64bit Windows OS
Use dgVoodoo 2 v2.52[citation needed]

- Download and setup dgVoodoo 2 version 2.52
- Once the initial game installation is done, unzip dgvoodoo_2.52 and copy
dgVoodooSetup.exe from main folder, then D3D8.dll , D3DImm.dll , and DDraw.dll files from the MS subfolder into GP3's installation folder
- Run
dgvoodoo.exe , configure General tab to have Full Screen with Stretched, 4:3 Aspect Ratio
- On DirectX tab, set dgvoodoo virtual 3D card, 512mb, 1280x1024 resolution, Application Controlled State, and Fast Memory Access. Apply.
- Right-click
GP3.exe , go to Compatibility tab, set compatibility to Windows XP SP3. Apply.
- Run the game.
