Mod Hosts
Mod Managers
- Nexus Mod Manager - a manager that allows you to download, install, update and manage your files through an easy to use interface. It integrates with the Nexus sites.
- Mod Organizer - a tool for managing mod collections. It is specifically designed for people who like to experiment with mods and thus need an easy and reliable way to install and uninstall them.
- Fallout Mod Manager - a fork of the original FOMM, with updates and new features.
- Maximum amount of enabled plugins (mods) is 150. Having more than 149 plugins enabled may lead to crashes on startup, missing animations, textures and sounds.

Turkish
- A Turkish fan patch is available here. Separate patches are also available for the following DLCs:
Issues fixed
- TweakGuides has created a comprehensive guide for fixing issues in this game. It can be found here.
Characters "Throwing Up"
This is caused by conflicting character mods, this can usually be fixed with a compatibility patch or by using BOSS to fix the load order.
Game Crashes Randomly
FalloutNV.exe has stopped working
- This usually occurs when trying to quit the game.
Game Stuck On Loading Screen
- Perpetual loading screen.
- Sometimes attempting to 'load' a save game does not work.
Unable To Level
- Caused by using
adlevel
console command.
Some Sounds Don't Work
- Voice acting and Pip-boy sounds (and possibly others) can not be heard, while the radio and movement can.
Application load error P:0000065434
- This happens when you start the launcher.
Game Crashes on Startup (NVSE installed properly)
- This happens when you start the game, and have mods that utilize NVSE. (New Vegas Script Extender)
Player "Sliding"
- Character will continue to move or "slide" a bit sometimes even after they have stopped moving. Note that this should not be confused for the game engine forcing characters to take a full step when moving.
Data Files get auto loaded on Startup
- Affected data files are enabled at all times, even if their boxes in the "Data Files" menu are unticked.
- If you chose to delete the
.nam
files, you can recover them by verifying the game data files integrity in Steam.
Application load error 5:0000065434
- You get Applicaton load error 5:0000065434, when launching the game in any other way than through Steam. The cause for this is inappropriate Steam AppID being used. This can happen when you have a Polish, Czech or Russian version of the game.
Game crashes on intro movie on Lenovo machines
- When selecting new game when playing on some Lenovo PCs/laptops, a second of the introduction movie is played then the game crashes.
- Please be aware that when these processes are terminated Onekey Theatre's functions and any associated hotkeys on your machine will not work until the application is started again (can be accessed through the Lenovo folder in the Start menu under Windows 7).
