Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth is a single-player sidescrolling action game, which is a part of media mix project of the classic light novel franchise "Record of Lodoss War", and serves as a bridge which fills in the gaps from the most recent novel in the series released in August 2019.
After the rapidly achieved commercial success of Touhou Luna Nights, Team Ladybug 's next project immediately gathered numerous spotlights in modern PC gaming without doubt. The project actually started at some unknown timeline before April 14, 2018 and a preview trailer was launched, but due to unknown circumstance the project was delayed and there were barely any news since then, with another new project "Touhou Luna Nights" created instead. The Early Access Demo of this game is formally created In November 18, 2019 after the retail release of "Touhou Luna Nights", and released in March, 13th 2020, also given the project name Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth. Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth eventually left Early Access status and formally released in March 27, 2021.
Just like Touhou Luna Nights, this game was developed on Team Ladybug's Mogura Engine 2, which is a highly modified game engine built upon Game Maker Studio 2 presets.
