Epicgames4 (talk | contribs) (→Audio. The interface uses the channels ‘Left Front,’ ‘Right Front,’ ‘Center,’ and ‘Low Frequency Effects,’ according to the Orban Loudness Meter. However, I’m not entirely sure about the games. As far as I understand, the original versions did not have surround sound. Yet, some games like TMNT Radical Rescue do reproduce some effects in other channels for less than 2 seconds. In the majority of games that I’ve played for a short time, they only use the same channels as the interface.) |
Epicgames4 (talk | contribs) (→ Audio: In summary, without realizing it, I had the “Microsoft Audio Home Theater Effects” option enabled, which makes all channels be used even if the game doesn’t have surround sound. I turned it off and checked again which sound channels are being used.) |

Resolution and scaling
- The game has three scaling modes: Original, Full and Wide.
All modes will stretch the game resolution using bilinear scaling as following:
- Original stretches the game horizontally into 4:3 aspect ratio.
- Full stretches the game vertically to fill the space, then horizontally to stretch into 4:3 aspect ratio.
- Wide simply stretch the game to fit the whole 16:9 area.
Game running in 4:3 resolution. Main gameplay is first pillarboxed to fit 16:9 aspect ratio of the game which is then letterboxed to make the game fit 4:3 aspect ratio window.
