Samurai Warriors 2 is a singleplayer and multiplayer third-person hack and slash game in the Samurai Warriors and Warriors series.

It was first released in Taiwan[Note 1] on June 26, 2008 followed by North America and Europe on the next day and in Japan on July 11, 2008.

Controller support

Add XInput support
  1. Run XInput Plus, click Select on Target Program and select SW2.exe.
  2. Go to the DirectInput tab and tick the Enable DirectInput Output.
  3. Click the drop-down button beside GUIDE and select Button 13.
  4. Click Customize then do the following:
    Left Trigger = Button7
    Right Trigger = Button8
    A = Button3
    B = Button4
    X = Button1
    Y = Button2
    LB = Button5
    RB = Button6
    BACK = Button11
    START = Button12
    

    This preset is the equivalent to the default PS2 controls.

  5. OPTIONAL: Click Setting tab then go to Others tab and disable the Enable Init Beep.
  6. Click on Apply button, confirm everything and close XInput Plus. New files will appear in the game folder.
  7. Run the game and B will be the Confirm Button and A will be the Cancel Button.
