Direct3D | 8.1 | Game was falsely advertised to require DirectX 9.0c at minimum while in reality it still runs on DX 8.1 Various DX 9 support libraries are supplied by both the retail and Steam installers but they do not seem to be used by the game in any way. It's possible that DirectX 9 was meant to act as some sort of a compatibility layer once GPU vendors stopped supporting DX 8.x completely. |
