Essential improvements
Enable Player Party Control
Set in settings.tml.[2][3]
|
- Go to
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Neverwinter Nights .
- Open
settings.tml in a text editor.
- Change
player-party-control = false to player-party-control = true .
Notes:
- Allows players to control their non-PC party members in the same way as DMs do. ie like the player character, but requiring holding keys to differentiate.
- Hold Ctrl while clicking or dragging to select party member(s). Hold ⇧ Shift to direct them like the player character.
- Some commands such as use will still only command the player character; what works is mainly just telling party members where to go and what to attack.
|
- Configurable mod to improve general AI and interactions with your AI companions.
Choosing AI options and installing.
|
- Download and run Main install exe.
- Change Destination Directory to
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Neverwinter Nights\override
- Select which components of the AI mod you want to install.
- Select Install.
Notes:
- Includes improved battle tactics for all NPCs, especially with regard to weapon switching and spell casting.
- Allows random roaming capability for monsters.
- Enables access to the inventory of familiars and animal companions.
- Allows for more useful henchman behavior (buffing, item-gathering) outside battle.
- Improves feat and spell selection for The Wailing Death's companions.
- Not enabled by default options include replacing Bag of Holding with Large Box, the ability for monsters to open and/or unlock doors, and K2's inventory stackable hak.
|
- Software made for ease of use in organizing and managing, installing, and uninstalling mods and their dependencies for the original and Enhanced Editions.
- Can download mods directly from Neverwinter Vault Links.
- Auto converts movie videos from BIK to WBM for the Enhanced Edition.
- Constructs installers from many different formats while allowing for editing the installation files.
- Handles the userpatch.ini automatically for what patch mods are installed.
- Shortens rest time from 10 seconds to 3 seconds for all player levels.
- File can be opened in a text editor to edit rest times for each level, 1-60.
Toggle via ingame chat.
|
- Save the github's files into
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Neverwinter Nights or use NIT, so that the scripts in the downloaded override folder are pasted into your installation's override folder.
- When ingame, enable debug mode by entering
##DebugMode 1 into the chat.
- Toggle helmet visibility by entering
##dm_runscript toggle_helmet into the chat, and/or toggle cloak visibility by entering ##dm_runscript toggle_cloak into the chat.
- Disable debug mode by entering
##DebugMode 0 into the chat.
Notes:
- These commands can be assigned to quickslot macros to toggle with ease.
- Macros are part of save data, so they will be lost if you load an older save.
- Visibility is applied to the gear you are wearing itself rather than the gear slot on your character. It will need to be reapplied each time you equip a new helmet and/or cloak, but that also means you can visibility toggle gear before giving it to your party members.
|
- Provides an inventory manager that works with any NWN game (even ones in progress).
- Sorts PC / henchmen inventory by placing items with same base type next to each other.
- Has a secondary function for dropping useless inventory junk on ground.
- Is implemented by adding a console command that will give the player character a feat called "Player Tool 10" to use to sort.
- May cause plot of some modules to break when used, so keep a save before using it for the first time.

Co-op, Versus Co-op, PvP and even MMO like persistent worlds are available. The entire game was built to be playable in multiplayer co-op, but the expansions were not, though fan-mods exist to fix the issues presents in the expansions to allow them to completed in multiplayer as well. The enhanced edition has made it easier to play on persistent worlds by allowing automatic download of assets. |
