Warnings

The macOS (OS X) version of this game does not work on macOS Catalina (version 10.15) or later due to the removal of support for 32-bit-only apps.

Dragon's Lair is a quick time events game in the Dragon's Lair series.

The Steam and GOG.com versions received a major revamp in late 2017, with user reviews since then criticising changed timings compared to previous versions,^[1] controllers disconnecting,^[2] the game failing to recognize valid moves,^[3]^[4] and input prompts desyncing from the video.^[5] A game-breaking softlock in the elevator scene was reported to have been fixed in mid-2020.^[6] The status of the Microsoft Store version is unknown.

Cutscenes are only visible on half of the screen

This can be caused by the MS13-057/KB2803821 update; reinstall the update to resolve the issue.^[7]

Open Programs and Features:
- Vista and later: Open the Start screen/Start menu, type appwiz.cpl and press ↵ Enter.
- Windows XP: Press ⊞ Win+R, type appwiz.cpl and press ↵ Enter.
View the installed updates:
- Vista and later: choose View installed updates.
- Windows XP: choose Show updates.
Locate KB2803821 and remove it.
Run Windows Update and install the update again to get a newer version that does not have this problem.
