The HORI Real Arcade Pro N, also known as the RAP N, are a series of arcade game controllers released by Hori since February 2, 2012.
The RAP N has the boxy plastic enclosure with metal face plate, and unlike the RAP V, the RAP N has the Noir Arcade layout. The sᴛᴀʀᴛ/▶ sᴛᴀʀᴛ/ᴏᴘᴛɪᴏɴs button is hidden under a slide-type cover plate to prevent accidental press during use. Like the RAP V, it also have a storage box on the back to store the cable, and has a 3.5mm audio jack, with earlier models prior to the RAP N3-SA have a USB passthrough port for keyboard. The RAP N comes with either the Sanwa-made switch and buttons or Hori's Hayabusa joystick and buttons.
As with the RAP V, there had been many models released within the RAP N lineup from 2012 to 2020. It was original released as collaboration models with the games, before the regular Real Arcade Pro N3-SA was released on December 6, 2013. The Xbox One and the PS4 version of the Tekken 7 Stick, released on June 2 2017, were the first models to comes with Hori's Hayabusa Joystick and buttons as well as native XInput support, and is followed by the regular Real Arcade Pro N Hayabusa on July 01, 2017.
Compatibility on PC vary depending on the models, with earlier PlayStation models released prior to the Tekken 7 Stick acts as generic DirectInput devices, meaning they requires a third-party wrapper like Steam Input for games that only use the XInput API. Models starting with Tekken 7 Stick , as well as all Xbox-compatible models, are native XInput devices. Note that console-specific features like touchpad on the PlayStation-4-compatible models are not supported while on PC.
