Version differences

There are two different editions of the game: The original one, released on Epic Games Store in May 2020 and Steam in May 2021; and another one released in November 2021 for PC Game Pass and Xbox Play Anywhere.
The Game Pass and Xbox Play Anywhere release is a fork of the original game, based on the "Scenario Update" which came out in May 2021. This fork is maintained by Team17 and DoGames.
On July 15, 2022, Team17 confirmed that their fork would not receive the last update titled "The Wasteland Update"[2][3]. The same day, Balancing Monkey Games' creative director confirmed that the "Planet Editor Update" would also not be part of the fork[4].
