Issues fixed
Steam Cloud not working (Linux version)
- For the Linux version, Steam Cloud is configured incorrectly. It looks for save files at
$XDG_CONFIG_HOME/EldenPixels/Alwa's Awakening/*.dat
[6] but they are located at $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/unity3d/EldenPixels/Alwa's Awakening/*.dat
.
Link incorrect directory to correct directory
|
Create a symbolic link such that $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/EldenPixels/Alwa's Awakening/*.dat leads to $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/unity3d/EldenPixels/Alwa's Awakening/*.dat . For example, one can make a symbolic link from $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/EldenPixels to $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/unity3d/EldenPixels after first moving steam_autocloud.vdf (as well as any files that may have been sync'd from machines where this was already fixed):
mkdir -pv ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME:-~/.config}/unity3d/EldenPixels/"Alwa's Awakening"
mv -bv ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME:-~/.config}/EldenPixels/"Alwa's Awakening"/* ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME:-~/.config}/unity3d/EldenPixels/"Alwa's Awakening"/ &&
rmdir -v ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME:-~/.config}/EldenPixels/"Alwa's Awakening" &&
rmdir -v ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME:-~/.config}/EldenPixels &&
ln -sv ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME:-~/.config}/unity3d/EldenPixels ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME:-~/.config}/

Notes
- ↑ Unity engine build: 5.3.7f1[1]
- ↑ Steam can be made to run the 64-bit executable by putting
bash -c 'exec "${@/AlwasAwakening.x86/AlwasAwakening.x86_64}"' -- %command%
in the launch options (assuming bash
is installed). Both executables can also run without Steam.
