Issues fixed
Running the game on 64-bit Windows
Although the game installer is 16-bit, the actual game is 32-bit. There are two ways of running the game:
Method 1: Run the game directly from the disk
Running the exe from the disk[citation needed]
|
- In the Monopoly CD, go to the
MONOPOLY folder.
- Run the
MONOPOLY.EXE file to play the game.
|
Method 2: Manually install the game
Setting up the game manually[citation needed]
|
- Somewhere on the computer (ex. the Desktop), create a new folder called
Monopoly .
- In the Monopoly CD, go to the
MONOPOLY folder.
- Copy the contents of the folder and paste them into the folder that was created before.
- In the Monopoly CD, go to the SETUP\WING folder.
- Copy WING32.DL_ to Windows SysWOW64.
- Open a COMMAND PROMPT as Administrator.
- CD to Windows\SysWOW64
- Enter 'expand WING32.DL_ WING32.DLL' (without typing the single quotes).
- Go into the installation folder
- Apply Windows 95 or Windows 98/Me compatibility to the
MONOPOLY.EXE
- Run the
MONOPOLY.EXE file to play the game.
|
Method 3: Use updated 64 bit installer
