Essential improvements
Alternative installer
le717 wrote an alternate installer to replace the original 16-bit installer shipped with the game.
Use alternate installer[citation needed] |
---|
Note that a bug can occur while using this installer where the game crashes on startup saying that the file "dsetup.dll" is missing.
Manually move "setup.dll"[1] |
---|
|
Remove disc check
- Only required if not using the alternate installer above.
No CD Fix[citation needed] |

Issues fixed
Game crashes every time a video tries to play
The following error message shows:
Runtime Error! Program: <path-to-game>/_msr.exe abnormal program termination
This issue is due to the computer missing the Indeo 5 codec. The fix is different for newer and older OSes.
Windows Vista and above[2] |
---|
(only enter the first line if on a 64-bit system, otherwise skip to the second command) cd C:\Windows\SysWOW64 regsvr32 ir50_32.dll |
