Issues unresolved
Retro Music Doesn't Loop
- The music that plays while in retro mode doesn't loop, it plays until the end and after that it just stops, meanwhile the ones that play in remaster mode do and keep playing even as you alternate between it and the silent retro mode.
- The patch 1.0.34 fixed this with the boss music specifically but not the others.
Obelix's Pathfinding
- Obelix's pathfinding AI is exactly the same as the original game, which can cause issues in certain areas as new crates were added in the environments that he gets stuck trying to pass by. This is a big problem at the start of certain boss fights where you can't go back and it's possible he's unable to follow you, and because both characters need to be present the fight never triggers, forcing you to reset from the last checkpoint and destroy the new crates beforehand.
Graphical and Audio Issues
- Various inconsequential but noticeable graphical and audio issues are present throughout the game in both remaster and retro modes that aren't in the original, like texture glitches in many environments and the caves in remaster mode having very loud reverb and clicking noises.
Issues fixed
Accidentally Unobtainable Laurel
- A golden laurel in Normandy requires you to jump on top a stack of metal crates to reach it, however metal crates don't respawn if you destroy them so if you do it becomes unobtainable and thus impossible to complete the game 100%. This was actually fixed in patch 1.0.33 by adding a stack of wooden crates that respawn if you reload the level, but patch 1.0.34 removed it for unknown reasons bringing back the issue.[2]
