Tested using ReShade 6.1.1. using its built-in depth buffer plugin. Render and Resolution settings control size of two different buffers, the former controlling a buffer which can only be 320x240 and 640x480 and contains the game's geometry normals; the latter controls a buffer which can be as small as 640x480 to 1440x1080 and changes the resolution of HUD elements. Backgrounds did not change when using either setting.
