Grid Cartographer
- Supported by Grid Cartographer. Its Game Link feature assists in creating the game map. This is not an automap. From the Grid Cartographer's documentation: “This approach enhances the immersion factor by allowing you to draw the map as you perceive it, not revealing every secret ahead of time. Hidden doors remain obscured, traps are left undetected and unsprung. It's still up to you to explore and record what you see on the map as you venture forth!” (note: Grid Cartographer is Premium Software, no free version exists)
Carrying Capacity Bug
The carrying capacity of your characters is set at game start, and does not change with increases in strength or class changes, as it does in Wizardry VII.[6] If you want a fix for this, Mike Marcelais has made one available.
Level 7 Spell Bug
The Level 7 Spell Bug will haphazardly render monsters immune to the four level 7 spells which damage all monsters: Nuclear Blast, Word of Death, Mind Flay, and Deadly Air.[7] A patch for this bug may be downloaded here.

This translation is done using the Cosmic Forge Editor, which has a feature which dumps the game text into a file that can be machine translated into Japanese (Steps on how to do this). |
Issues fixed
- The keyboard input indicator is not shown when in mouse mode; these steps switch to keyboard mode, allowing the indicator to be displayed.
- Full keyboard input is also useful if you are wanting to play with a controller (use the DOSBox Mapper to change key assignments).
Change input mode[citation needed]
|
- At the main menu go to Game Configuration.
- Change Input to Keyboard.
- Choose Exit to save your changes. Repeat to switch back to mouse mode.
