Essential improvements

Skip intro videos

Rename .bik files in the installation folder[citation needed]
  1. Go to Intro in the installation folder.
  2. Delete or rename eidos.bik and startopia.bik

Patches

The 1.01 Patch updates the retail version of the game to the latest version.
The 1.01b Patch is merely an alternative to the 1.01 patch, in case you experience problems with it.
There is also the semi-official 1.02 Patch which requires either 1.01 or 1.01b to be installed already (it was created by a former Mucky Foot employee).
