Replace files[1]
  1. Download Knights of Honor blank intros.
  2. Go to <path-to-game>\packs.
  3. Delete or move the files intro.pak and logos.pak
  4. Extract files from koh_blank_intros.zip to packs folder

Updating Steam version

Add missing registry file[2]
The Steam release inexplicably has version 1.03 instead of 1.05. The standard patcher can be used, but a missing registry entry needs to be added first.
This will disable DRM.
  1. Use the Registry Editor to open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ (32-bit) or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node (64-bit).
  2. Create the Black Sea Studios\Knights of Honor key.
  3. Create a string value, name it InstallDir and fill it with the full game path.
  4. Download and install the 1.05 patch.
  5. Run the game.
