DualShock prompts
- Game does already feature button graphics for PS4 and PS Vita, but never uses them on PC.
- All the games assets are inside single
.wad
file, making it harder to replace the file.
Replace button graphics[2]

- Download latest version of Hotline Miami WAD Explorer.
- Open
<path-to-game>\content\blob_data_desktop.wad .
- From list, search for
buttonsps4.anb and extract it either from top menu or with Ctrl+E.
- Right above it on list should be
buttons.anb . Highlight it, replace (top menu or Ctrl+R and select extracted buttonsps4.anb .
- Save the file and you should have
*.patchwad file.
- Select merge patch option or press Ctrl+M to open merge window.
- Select original
*.wad and saved *.patchwad files and select merge.
- Program will prompt about backing up, which is advisable at this point if you haven't done so manually before this step.
- Close the program and start up the game.

- To get Vita prompts (grayscale) use file
buttonspsv.anb .
