Discord originally featured its own storefront that launched into beta in August 2018[1] and was released to the public in October[2] the same year. In March 2019 Discord scaled back the storefront to focus on the Nitro subscription service instead, while also shifting the focus of buying and selling games to within developers' individual Discord servers.[3] The subscription service was removed a year later in October 2020 citing feedback and a lack of use from users.[4] As per the original 2019 changes, games can still be bought and sold within developers' individual servers on the platform.
