This page is for the minigame collection. For the remaster of the console game, see SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated.
Key points
- Despite being called "SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom", this game is not a port or has anything to do with the PlayStation 2/Xbox/GameCube game of the same name.

Video
- Game only runs at 15 FPS by default and is locked to 800x600 fullscreen.[citation needed]
Use dgVoodoo2[1]
|
- Download dgVoodoo 2.
- Extract
D3DImm.dll and DDraw.dll to the installation folder, where sb3.exe is located.
- Open
dgVoodooCpl.exe and go to DirectX and configure your settings.
Notes
- This removes the frame rate cap and allows the game to be played at modern resolutions. The only downside is that the game is stretched at non-4:3 resolutions and there's currently no way to fix this.

Improvements and Fixes
No-CD Fix
- To launch the game, the CD must be inserted. This causes problems on modern devices that do not have a CD drive. [citation needed]
Remove CD-Check[2]
|
- Open
sb3.exe in HxD.
- Press CTRL+R and go to the Hex-Value tab
- Search for
84 C0 75 07 6A 04 E9 55 01 00 00 and replace it with 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90
- Set Search Direction to All and press Replace All
- Save the result as a new file called
sb3p.exe (or anything other than sb3.exe)
Notes
- While this does remove the CD-Check it's still unstable on modern systems. You might need to open the patched file multiple times until the game launches.
