Where the digits for card

need to replaced with the values for the soundcard you are actually using.
You can find these values by running aplay -l
.
So for an output like this:

You would use card 0

If both options above haven't helped you may want to try this:
Some audio drivers don't play well with Pulseaudio's Glitch-free Feature, e.g. Creative X-Fi cards. To switch from newer schedule to older interrupt-based audio processing:
