Essential improvements

The largest and most complete mod, adds hundreds of weapons, soldiers, what have you. Attention, it is quite large. You can find it on the Game developer site, in the forums. If you do not want to register to download, there are links to other sites hosting the mod. The mod weighs in at a hefty 7 gb or thereabouts, and its composed of thousands of small files. Ssd strongly recommended. The mod needs the community edition patch.

The Community Edition is meant to be an improved version of the original game, including additional bugfixes and various new features that do not fundamentally alter the intended game experience. GOG.com version requires manual installation. X:CE does not support Linux release.
