Star Trek: Starship Creator Warp II was released on June 12, 2000 in the US and UK as a sequel to the original Star Trek: Starship Creator published by Simon and Schuster Interactive and developed by Imergy with 3D models provided by Foundation Imaging. Backwards compatible with the previous installment, Warp II also added the ability to import player ships into the multi-player mode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Dominion Wars. The core gameplay loop is creating custom Star Trek ships by selecting the class, configuration, crew and then sending them out on missions for resource credits to continue to improve the players fleet. The game includes a mission editor allowing players to create custom missions to send their ships out on.
