Issues fixed
Slow loading level and aero disabling
- Occurs only on Windows Vista and Windows 7, because of the special graphic stack WDDM.
Fix slow load level and spontaneous shutdown aero interface
|
- Install game only on Windows XP, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10.[2]
Notes
- Using Windows 8.1 or 10 significantly reduces the launch time of the level, perhaps this is due to improvements in the WDDM graphics stack.[3]

Black screen patch
Some device configurations (usually USB devices) can make the game hang at startup showing a black screen. This can also happen under Wine (Linux or OS X). This patch makes the game bypass the device enumeration.
Apply the patch[citation needed]
|
- Before applying the patch, make a backup of the
game.exe file in case the modifications go wrong.
- For Vista and later: make sure you have SAS Secure Tomorrow installed in a folder that can be modified by regular programs (e.g.
C:\Games\SASST )
- Download sasstfix.exe and run it.
- Press the "Locate and patch game.exe" button.
- Using the dialog box that will appear, locate the
game.exe file in your SAS Secure Tomorrow installation.

Soft Shadows not working
- Soft Shadows not working but setting enabled
Soft Shadows fix
|
- Need disable anti-aliasing in game options
- This is due to the features of the engine and the artificial limitation of the simultaneous use of anti-aliasing with soft shadows, since they can cause graphic artifacts on the shadows.
