Issues fixed
Crash on startup
When the game crashes on startup with the message Error E2000: D3D Error: D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE[2][3], or with the error Malfunction W-2113929204: Unnamed Error no. -2113929204 (the error hash is {289a12fb-10fd-bb5b-3edc-4567046643a5}), then apply the following fix. This is a DirectX-error.
Use WineD3D
|
- Download WineD3D here. This fix was tested with WineD3D version 1.7.54 here, unknown if it works with the most modern versions. Download the standard version, not the x86_64 version.
- Copy d3d9.dll, ddraw.dll, dxgi.dll, libwine.dll and wined3d.dll in the game folder (where the .exe is). Maybe not all of those are needed, but it works with this setup.
- Set compatibility of the daemonica.exe to Windows XP Service Pack 2. This might not be required.
- Now you can start the game without problems.
