The Consuming Shadow is a singleplayer side view adventure, shooter and roguelike game.
After releasing on the Humble Store and Mac App Store on July 29, 2015, the game was expanded with the Insanity Edition on Steam on November 20, 2015 with additional content.

Version differences
- The Special Edition includes the game and two e-books by Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw: Mogworld and Jam.
- The Insanity Edition is the default Steam version of the game, with additional content: new monsters, 12 challenge modes, daily challenges and the infinite mode "The Descent".
