I'm just going to prove the game does natively support widescreen, despite what WSGF says.. so we don't have to argue about it:
As it can be seen - the problems are that FOV is getting lowered and HUD is getting squished, but no "actual" streaching is present. I made 2 additional screenshots:
- 1280x720 (with incorrect aspect ration set in game's launcher - 4:3) - image is getting strached... as expected.
- 1024x768 with incorrect aspect ration set in game's launcher - 16:9) - image is getting squished... as expected.
So... widescreen is pretty much true for me. It has problems, which can be resolved with ThirteenAG's fix, but it's entirely playable. The same isn't a case with first Flatout, which always stretches 4:3 image and where ThirteenAG's fix is absolutely required.
