Version differences

The Steam version comes with the latest updates previously released for the CD version. New updates are released for the Steam and CD versions in sync.
Sold Out version uses custom Setup.now.exe launcher from publisher and was bundled with Worms 2.[1]

Essential improvements

Patches

Windows 7 and Vista Fix (non-Steam)

The latest updates (not made by Team 17, but endorsed) make this game Windows 7 and Windows Vista compatible. These patches are not compatible with some versions of the game, though (downloaded versions, for example).

Fatal Error on Startup

Navigate to <path-to-game>\Tweaks and double click on "Renderer_Direct3D_9_Software_Palette.reg". Alternatively, when using the Steam version, enable beta updates in properties.
