Kou Shibusawa[Note 1] is a brand and division of Koei Tecmo.
Named after the stage name of one of Koei's founders and game producer Yoichi Erikawa, the division was established on April 1, 2016 following Koei Tecmo's restructure. Since its establishment, Kou Shibusawa had been focus on develop strategy and simulation games, with the well-known game series being Nobunaga's Ambition and Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Occasionally, the division had also developed games for other companies, as well as co-develop games with Koei Tecmo's other divisions/subsidiaries. (namely Team Ninja for the Nioh series.)
