Possibly using Denuvo DRM.
Let's see if it will be the good time paying users will be the favoured ones.

There's already a kind of denial, though this seems even less reliable than the original source
Ok, it was a hoax

Stating they are uncrackable is bold.. Though I'm suprised that's still the case.
Besides, if you hadn't the time to read the entire steam discussions thread, the link between the DRM and bad game performance has not been proved, rather it seems more like one of the usual PhysX problems..

I already know most details, I just linked that just in case. And they never said it was uncrackable, it's simply ment to delay pirates just so that the game can sell a bit more on release.

I don't know about others, but if there's one thing that keeps me away from a game for a lifetime, it's DRM. Doesn't matter how cheap they might push it one day, just no.

Mirh (talkcontribs)

Well, besides philosophical reason, not all DRMs come to harm.. (hardware-based are almost always a pain in the neck on linux/wine though)

Anonymous (talkcontribs)

I can't think of a single example of DRM that somehow improved the experience though. I do have quite a few games still laying around that sadly refuse to work, because of things like SecuROM and SafeDisc. Though for me, it is largely ideological, even if I let some things slide for my own enjoyment.

A DRM is an additional software layer to protect games (so, it's purpose is not to improve your life).
And an additional layer of software is a an additional source of problems by definition.
Though, nothing technically prevent a DRM from being stable and compatible..
