Definition
Article Category Glossary
Being able to purchase in-game currency whether it's gold, gems, tokens, crafting materials, credits, V-Bucks, etc. which in turn are used to buy other microtransactions, or can be traded for account credit.
Examples
Grand Theft Auto V's Shark Cards allow players to buy in-game currency, e.g. $8m GTA dollars for £80. World of Warcraft sells the Wow Token which can be traded for gold in the in-game auction house. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided one can purchase in-game 'Credits'. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain one can puchase 'Mother Base Coins'.
