Key points

Connects via micro USB cable or wireless pairing dongle (included with the controller).
Adds full controller support to virtually any game because of Big Picture integration with high customization and being able to use XInput, keyboard and mouse inputs.
Any kind of customization to controller requires Steam and to be able to use XInput buttons or game specific profiles game must be launched trough Steam.

Support in games

Even though controller should be compatible with almost every single game, games can add native support for the controller, which can include native button prompts and official configurations with aliased text for games features.

Issues unresolved

Can't use controller inputs in DirectInput games

Defined XInput buttons do not translate into DirectInput buttons as Steam sends them directly to the game.
Workaround is to use keyboard and mouse inputs instead.

DirectInput controllers are being blocked when using Steam controller

Also includes RawInput games, e.g. games using Unity engine.
Local multiplayer games with wide controller support suffer from this as it renders some useable controllers unuseable.
