This page is a stub: it lacks content and/or basic article components. You can help to expand this page by adding an image or additional information.
This page may require cleanup to meet basic quality standards. The specific problem is: Native support section. As we now have proper data on pages it's nicer to have automatic list, but it's mostly copy-paste job and does not cover games without prompts and does cover pages with hackable prompts.. You can help by modifying the article. The discussion page may contain useful suggestions.

Key points

Uses standard Bluetooth for wireless communication.
Even though lacking XInput, some games do offer native support for the controller without any extra software necessary.

Windows

The controller works natively as a DirectInput controller; use DS4Windows to add XInput compatibility.
You may want to enable the option "Hide DS4 Controller" so that some games don't detect two controllers at once, as well as "Start Minimized".

Using wirelessly

Works same way with both wired and wireless modes and uses standard bluetooth for wireless mode.
Instructions

Native support in games

Games with native Dualshock 4 support

Following entrys work with Dualshock 4 directly, but do not offer dualshock button prompts, instead usually 360 prompts are given. In some cases, all XInput controllers have to be disabled or unplugged for Dualshock 4 to work.

Other information

Worn analog sticks are a known issue and Sony should've changed rubber material for new controllers.[1] If the controller is still under warranty contact Sony or the retailer for replacement instructions.[2] Worn sticks can also be replaced manually (follow this guide).
