Key points
- Uses standard Bluetooth for wireless communication.
- Even though lacking XInput, some games do offer native support for the controller without any extra software necessary.
Windows
- The controller works natively as a DirectInput controller; use DS4Windows to add XInput compatibility.
- You may want to enable the option "Hide DS4 Controller" so that some games don't detect two controllers at once, as well as "Start Minimized".
Using wirelessly
- Works same way with both wired and wireless modes and uses standard bluetooth for wireless mode.

Native support in games
- While most games require XInput, some games have native support for DirectInput and the DualShock 4.
Games with native Dualshock 4 support
- Following entrys work with Dualshock 4 directly, but do not offer dualshock button prompts, instead usually 360 prompts are given. In some cases, all XInput controllers have to be disabled or unplugged for Dualshock 4 to work.

Other information
- Worn analog sticks are a known issue and Sony should've changed rubber material for new controllers.[1] If the controller is still under warranty contact Sony or the retailer for replacement instructions.[2] Worn sticks can also be replaced manually (follow this guide).
