The PlayStation 2 is a video game console developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment (Then-Sony Computer Entertainment) and manufactured by Sony, released on March 4, 2000 and is a 6th-generation video game console.
The PlayStation 2 is powered by a single MIPS R5900 Emotion Engine CPU and a Graphics Synthesizer GPU (later models has a combined SoC containing both chips), with 32 MB of system RAM. It utilize the DVD-ROM as its game media format. Its primary controller is the DualShock 2.
Below is a list of emulators on PC that can play the PlayStation 2 game titles. Do note that some PlayStation 2 game titles, such as the Metal Gear Solid games, utilize the pressure-sensitive buttons on the DualShock 2, thus requiring that controller or a DualShock 3 when playing PlayStation 2 game titles on supported emulators.
