The HORI Fighting Stick Cube is an arcade game controller released by Hori on December 22, 2004.

It was based on Hori's earlier Real Arcade, made specifically for the GameCube. Unlike the co-current third-generation Fighting Stick and the Fighting Stick EX, it does not have analog face button and analog joystick, nor the turbo function. It has the Noir arcade layout.

It was originally released as the Soulcalibur II Stick Cube on March 23, 2003, a collaboration model made specifically for the game Soulcalibur II on GameCube. A regular version was later released in the following year.

As it was made specifically for the GameCube, it requires a third-party adapter to be able to use on PC, but even then, some adapters will only work as a DirectInput device.

  • 1 × digital joystick on the main panel: , , ,
  • 6 × digital face buttons on the main panel: 𝐀, 𝐁, 𝐗, 𝐘, 𝐋, 𝐑
  • 1 × digital face button on the outer frame: 𝐙

Controller variations

The Soulcalibur II Stick Cube is a collaboration model made specifically for Soulcalibur II.
The Fighting Stick Cube is the regular model.

Use with PC platforms

Windows

Dolphin emulator has native support for GameCube Controller Adapter and will auto-detect the adapter once the controller was plugged in[1].
Zadig is a Windows application that installs generic USB drivers. It supports basic GameCube controls.

reWASD

Supports the Fighting Stick Cube via a MayFlash adapter, does not require manual driver installment.
reWASD does not work with third-party drivers.
Can emulate the DualShock 4 to play PS4 Remote Play, PS Now or Dualshock 4 compatible games. Including gyro and accelerometer control.
Can emulate the Xbox 360 controller to play XInput-compatible games.
Not free of charge. 14-days trial.
Custom configs can be found in official Community Configs Library maintained by reWASD users.

Massive's Gamecube Adapter Driver

It's the unofficial Windows driver for the official Wii U GameCube Adapter (Wii U GCN USB adapter).
Compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7/8.
Only requires the black plug (gray is used to power the rumble motor).
Tied with the raphnet adapter for the lowest latency method of using a gamecube controller on PC.
Use up to 4 gamecube controllers on 1 USB port.
Compatible with x360ce (for use with games that only support xbox controllers).
Configurable Deadzones. Compatible with sample rate overclocking using a modified HIDUSB.sys.
Full comaptibility with the native dolphin driver.

XInput wrapping

Being a DirectInput controller, it's possible to use any of the generic wrappers. See the controller article for those.

Steam

With most adapters, Steam may recognize the Fighting Stick as a generic DirectInput device, thus requiring manual button mappings via Steam Input.

Hardware

Adapters
