Thanks for your contribution to PCGW :) I've sadly had to revert your contribution for the reasons noted here: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/w/index.php?title=Portal_2&diff=1358229&oldid=1357846 Additionally I wanted to provide more feedback for your future edits: please make sure your grammar is ok, as the note suffers from some sentence grammar issues. Additionally, the description of a fixbox shouldn't end with a dot. Also, please remember to include references when possible :) Especially regarding claims of the cause of an issue and if a fix really works or not. If you ever need any more feedback or have questions, don't hesitate to ask us on our PCGW-Discord :)

My apologizes, English is not my native language.
About this issue, I meant that this driver bug is old, not that the old drivers causes this bug to appear. In fact, it's opposite.
You may see example of flickering projected textures here: https://youtu.be/Kg_TUJCxfdo?list=PLBw0j1thl-OcgKRl7LcWIRuAg29jvfPOO
Have you updated your graphics driver to the latest version and not using any mods/workshop items/custom settings?
Of course!
Can you give me all system specifications of your hardware and OS? Btw, regarding language; if English is not your native language, it might be wise to ask us on the PCGW Discord to check your proposed changes to pages before actually adding them. Saves everyone time when having to correct your edits; PCGW also puts proper use of grammar in high regards :)
Thanks!
By the way, it seems I forgot to put the source of the suggested solution: https: //github. com/ValveSoftware/portal2/issues/391#issuecomment-1356927403
I was talking with the Valve support about this and some other bug. There is applied my system info as well.
P.S.: Sorry for the delay, this website was lagging and have been putting me an infinite captcha. I think applied link may cause this, so I divided it
This flickering appears on specific panels in some rare locations. You could check this level from the video if you have a NVidia videocard
Again, please answer my questions about your specific hardware and OS or I can't help you or verify your information.
As you are not supplying me your hardware info here after asking twice (and information in that topic is in Russian, which I cannot read), the person who answered your questions there doesn't really seem to be affiliated with Valve and also doesn't give any source or information regarding his claims, I can sadly neither confirm or disapprove your info....
Ow wait, most info further down below in that topic's supplied hardware info is readable, I'm looking... Gonna do more testing and will come back to you; confirmed btw you have the latest GPU driver installed, have Windows 11 and an eight gen intel processor. Are you sure you are running the game through your dedicated GPU and not on a crappy Intel HD chip?
Of course. That would be a disaster. And I've seen different people have this bug
I've added the issue back with improved grammar, added information and extensive references. See: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Portal_2#Flickering_white_grainy_graphical_artifacts_on_some_surfaces. Does this cover the flickering artifacts issue fully in your opinion?
Thank you! I think it looks fine!
Aren't command line arguments case-sensitive? Is -Vulkan works too?
Just to be sure, I'm making it lowercase again.
Just checked, -Vulkan is fine too, but I've already seen -vulkan on this page, so it will be more consistent look
Done, afterwards made a mess of the added refs (to establish a pattern and make it more reliable) I found haha, but eventually managed to fix that too.
