Issues unresolved
Captions flicker/make the game slower in Hardware mode
- The slowdown caused by the captions can also be worked around by turning off the captions in settings
Instructions[citation needed]
|
- It is recommended to apply the "Graphics issues with GeForce/Radeon GPUs" fix above before applying this one.
- Certain visual elements (e.g. the game's HUD, letterboxes during cutscenes) will become invisible with DXGL 0.5.7.[3]
- Download and install DXGL.
- After installing, go to the
Start menu -> All programs -> DXGL -> Configure DXGL .
- Click on Add and add
mgsi.exe and mgsvr.exe located in the installation folder.
- Click
Apply then OK and open the game.
- In game, go to
Option -> Video/Sound Options , enable captions, then go to Advanced , select DXGL DDraw Wrapper , your desired resolution and restart the game.

Because DDV playback has not been resolved yet? Only square screens that are not normal screens are played in the game. So you don't need a rectangle on the screen, so there is a way to play the audio on a completely black screen. If 00000010 0C line (resolution value) of the DDV file address of the hex editor is set to 00, then the square screen of the game is completely deleted and playback from other players has the same effect.
