Key points

Sixaxis is earlier variant of the controller which is mostly identical, but lacking force feedback. More information at Sixaxis Wikipedia article.
Controllers can be used both wired, with a USB Mini-B cable, and wireless, via Bluetooth 2.0 and EDR.
Works with most games once set up correctly.
Requires initial setup to show up in games with hard coded 360 controller support.

Windows

Uninstall MotioninJoy and Better DS3 if either are currently installed. See uninstallation instructions.
The central Home button acts as an XInput Guide button and cannot be used in games for other functions.
x360ce can be used to adjust controller settings and button assignments.
