Baldur's Gate was released in 1999 and its expansion is the Tales of the Sword Coast. Its sequel is the seminal Baldur's Gate II (2000) and its expansion Throne of Bhaal (2001).

Version Differences

Good Old Games is currently the best place to buy the game, and comes with the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion pack.

Baldur's Gate Tutu

The Pocket Plane Group created the BG1Tutu Template:CitadelFile mod to import the content of Baldur's Gate into the enhanced game engine of Baldur's Gate 2. This allows one to create characters using the class kits in BG2 and unlocks higher game resolutions.
