BSOD with Creative Labs Sound Cards
Path of Exile can sometimes BSOD with sound cards made by Creative Labs, this issue can be fixed by turning on software sound or disabling sound. To disable sound or enable software sound add --nosound or --softwareaudio to your path of exile shortcut[1]. For Example : ["C:/Program Files/Grinding Gear Games/Path of Exile/Client.exe" --softwareaudio] On the steam version of the game this can be done by adding --nosound or --softwareaudio to the launch options under properties for the game. These options can however make the initial loading of the game take longer. Different drivers may also stop the problem.
